I’m in the middle of updating the look of my blog. I haven’t decided what all I’m changing yet, but thus far I’ve updated things in the sidebars. I THINK I’ll be redoing the banner as well, but I’ve yet to come up with what I want to do there… so this is definitely a work in progress.
November 2009 archive
Regardless of where we’re from, how old we are or even who we voted for last November – Thanksgiving is a day that we put aside our differences and come together with family, friends and loved ones to give thanks for our many blessings bestowed upon us and our great nation.
It is a time to be thankful that we live in a country full of brave men and women in uniform, who choose to spend Thanksgiving abroad fighting to defend our hard-won freedoms, 389 years after the Pilgrims first came to our country in search of them. We owe them and their families a debt of gratitude that we will never be able to repay. It is because of their sacrifice that we can gather around the table in peace this year to celebrate Thanksgiving.
As you spend time with those you cherish most, I hope you will also take a moment to pause and give thanks for the great country we live in.
I wish you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
So I never got around to posting again the other day like I said I was going to. Life kind of got in the way. Between Blondes vs Brunettes practice and the Health Care bill (I’m saving my opinion of it, but my blog’s name should tell you everything)… I’ve been swamped. If you follow me on twitter, GOP Talking Points or my other blog (http://www.lipstickelephants.com) you know I worked for pretty much 48hrs straight with House updates. So while I wasn’t “here” I have in fact been around.
Random: Taylor Swift is too adorable. I’m such a fan, and thus I feel like sharing her uber-endearing SNL monologue from Saturday night:
More later today.
I’ve not forgotten you! Rest assured. But I am going to blame my lack of recent posting on my new job. But in reality, it should be blamed on my new found laziness in light of my new job. That is to say, my new job calls for me to be online all day long, yeah it’s new media that’s what I expected, so by the time I get home I’m all new media’ed out. I mean I thought I spent my fair share of time online with my last job (and in all reality I did), but this time I’m taking it to a whole new level. It’s great though. No complaints. I just need to work harder at making time for things like THIS blog.
That said, I promise to write today. Not right now though. It’s 1 a.m. over here on the east coast and I’m 10 kinds of tired right now.
