Sweet, sweet sale!

Did you get anything during the Rue La La Lilly sale today? I did! I had a lot of pieces from last fall already, but not so many that were up, aside from the Sandpiper peacock dress.

So thanks to all my credit on the site (thank you referrals!), I was able to get these fab dresses without having to spend an actual dime and I still have more credit to spare!

I truly don't even remember ever seeing the "Annie" pink metallic dress on sale at any point last fall. And at first glance I had mixed opinions, but then I looked at the details and fell in love! I figure this is a classy number that won't be going out style ANY time soon.

I mean, the detailing at the neckline is just to-die-for!

Next I picked up the "Apple" printed dress. Last year Lilly made me swoon over their peacock inspired patterns, and I actually had the pants of this Tickle Me Fancy print, but I can't find them ANYWHERE. That's the problem with campaigning -- taking clothes all over the place, carpooling... sometimes GREAT items get lost. So I was happy to snatch this number up. Mostly because it's super casual and I'm all about an easy to throw on, no fuss dress!

Finally, I snagged the "Sabine" printed shirt dress. The pattern's fun and timeless in my book and again, it's another easy to wear, no fuss kinda Lilly dress.

In case you didn't notice the OBVIOUS, OR you're a new reader DC GOP Girl got a makeover at 4:30 in the morning today. I decided to deck out the blog in support of my endeavor to raise money for Alzheimer's. So if you're able to donate $5, please head on over to my donation page. It's tax deductible too!

This politico is NC bound in a matter of minutes to go home to see my sick grandpa (more about that in the days to come probably). But it also means seeing my fantastic mom and dad, surfing at the beach and sailing my heart out. So I guess it won't all be bad.

Oh and if you haven't already heard TLC just picked up DC Cupcake for another season. I guess with the premiere of DC Housewives tomorrow, they're figuring they should get some more money out of this city. Looks like the lines around the block to one of my fav Georgetown cupcakery (totally made up that word and stress the Georgetown part) wont' be getting any shorter any time soon.

*Also, don't forget about my giveaway, that ends tonight (Thursday) at midnight! It's REALLY easy to enter (at least once), so you may as well try and win yourself a some gorgeous earrings!

  8. I hope everything is OK with your grandfather!

Great dresses! Have you met the Georgetown Cupcake girls? The show just seems so fake- like bad acting- to me. I really really want to like it. Even though I don't currently live in DC, I did for many years and hope to maybe move back soon. I want to root for my favorite city. But the show just seems off to me. I'd love to know if they are more authentic in person.
