Oxfords & Oysters - this Saturday!

This Saturday you'll find me outside of my beloved DC (no, this doesn't happen often, so when it does it's absolutely worth noting) up in Baltimore for Oxfords & Oysters.

A little over a month ago I heard about this event through Nico & Lala. As a preppy, beach gal the name alone peaked my interest. Oxfords and Oysters is a first annual event benefiting the Oyster Recovery Partnership.

In case you don't know: Oysters are a critical species to the Bay's long term recovery. A healthy oyster reef not only cleans dirty water, but also provides a firm bed for a community of new oysters, barnacles and mussles - which in turn furnishes valuable habitat for blue crabs, striped bass and other important marine life. Unfortunately, due to disease, habitat loss, declining water quality and historic over-fishing, the oyster population has plummeted. Oysters used to filter our entire Bay in just days. Now it takes more than a year!
That and oysters make pearls. Which we all I know I'm OBSESSED with. Probably even more so than Lilly! *Quite the feat.

So when the chance to attend this fab event presented itself last night, I jumped at the opportunity! I mean how can a girl say no to open bar + live music + great friends + good food!?

Taking place at Little Havana in Baltimore, MD right on the water.

So if you don't already have plans, make them now and join me at Oxfords and Oysters!

The grab bag alone has $480+ worth of gifts in it. How awesome is that? Just check out a list of the current sponsors:

Now the only question I have is... what am I going to wear!?
