I have just stumbled upon your blog through a google search..."perpetually dissatisfied" as that's how I feel. I'm across the pond in the UK and have just read your comment and can empathise. I have nearly all the things a person could ask for; a good job, a lovely wife, a house, some caring and fantastic friends. With all of those things I still feel dissatisfied. I wouldn't say I'm unhappy, just not quite satisfied with my lot. I just read an interesting article on the web about the philosophy of dissatifaction and it suggested that it shows a drive to change things and that a completely satisfied person would be completely without motivation. I hope this is the case, if it is then maybe we should channel our motivation towards things that we feel strongly about improving, perhaps that will start making me feel more comfortable with my dissatisfaction. I find it hard to talk to people I know about my feelings, I'd like to thank you for your blog and to wish you well. I hope you get some comfort out of your dissatisfaction in the future.

I'm new to your blog. However, I already love the candidness. We all go through what you are going through. The promise that "it will get better" is in the very identification of your own emotions and self-knowledge. Most people will not acknowledge their own state, which holds them captive otherwise. You're obviously a very smart woman. You will succeed in coming out on the "better" side of this! (Just honest wisdom to offer.....hope you don't mind.)

Understand what you mean. I have made a commitment not to post negative comments or comments that would leave minds question or get tongues wagging. It is so hard not to journal.some of the things going on. Sometimes I feel like I might bust if I don't get it out. Mama always said "if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything".
